This Aunt is an on-the-go mama.  We're off every day to the bus stop, preschool drop-off, the library, pediatrician visits, grocery store, SOMEWHERE all the time.  I'm a pretty healthy mom and with four kids, I need energy to keep going throughout the day.  Sometimes, I get in a little low-energy funk during all of the running around.  It's those times that I grab a quick and healthy snack and pick-me-up to pull through the rest of the afternoon!  

Healthy Snacks for Moms:

I love to grab one of my favorite quick healthy snacks when I'm on the go (and fighting that low energy sleepiness!):
Granola Bar
Dried Cranberries
Almond Butter and celery sticks
String cheese
Turkey roll-up
Cherry tomato/mozzarella cheese

*These are definitely snacks that kids can share...and they are great healthy snacks for kids!  But, sometimes a mom needs a secret stash of her own for a pick me up.  And in that case, chocolate is the perfect addition to this list!

The Up All Night Season of Life

With four small children, someone is ALWAYS up during the nights.  We're at the Sleepless Nights season of life.  It is a season that won't last forever...but right now it sure seems like it will! We're going through teething baby fun with the ten month old who is stuffy and needs snuggles during the night, to a seven year old who has a bad dream.  There are SO many reasons that kids are up and causing a ruckus during the night.  It's one of those things that you just have to go with, give out the snuggles, and know that it won't be like this forever.  In the meantime, there are still school buses to meet, preschool and doctor's appointments to get to, and errands to be run.  The world doesn't stop turning because this mama was up at 2 am, 3:30 am, 4 am, 6 am...It's hard work being a mama in this busy, sleepless season!  A season that will pass by way too fast!  These sleepless nights are full of snuggles, cuddles, and babies that need their mommy or daddy!
